sadness for a small town

today is the funeral for a local family in our town. taken tragically last week. this hits extra close to home since one of the victims was a boy in my oldest daughter's class. today her entire 9th grade class will not be in school learning or hanging out, living the lightness of a teenager's life, but rather will be boarding school buses to attend the funeral of their friend and his family. a hard lesson that should not have to be learned. my prayers for Josh, Carol, and Chris today and all who mourn their passing.
