happiest snail mail

this may be new to many out there, it was to me. teenie started this completely awesome idea of a traveling blog friendship box. i was fortunate to have received this box from my dear blogging friend andie. the rules are simple and sweet. upon receiving the box it is your job to alter the box with 1 personal touch. then fill the box with a gift and mail it on to a blogging friend. it has been 5 places so far. you can see its travels tracked here.   from teenie's home in massachusetts, to new zealand (twice), to washington, and now here in my home in maine. that is quite a trip i'd say. i'd like to stuff myself in this little box and go along for the ride! who knows who and where it will go! i do know where it is going next but shhhhh its a secret. i don't want to ruin the surprise. but it should be arriving any day at its next stop. as for my alteration i thought and thought.   originally i wanted to knit something for it, but couldn't quite figure out how to do that, so then i went with adorning a single seashell from our beach here.   i like that it is a piece of here, a tiny treasure found by us.  happy trails little box.  xo
