week 17~ the spark

people often comment or ask if we know what we are shooting each week. originally andie and i tried concepts , our feet, our dogs, etc... then we were hitting a wall... do we need to better define this? should it be totally random? we were lost. then we started picking a color. each week a new color. this week was brown. hmmmmmm i think we got off track, LOL! i sent her my browns and she sent me hers and we were just not jiving. but i LOVED the shot she sent me of the typewriter which instantly made me think of this pretty bracelet i found this summer and treated myself to, made from an old typewriter key. seeing her white window made me place it on my white windowsill . so that is how this week came about. a little spark of inspiration.  who knows what next week will bring? some weeks i send her a shot and she sends me a dip done and it looks like we went and shot them together. other weeks we work on it a little more, reshooting or tweaking our idea til we like the outcome. i really like how we are growing each week.

I am so glad you talked about your process here. I've wondered about it myself. It's a wonderful thing to play off each other.. let one person inspire the other.. such growth I can see coming from that kind of collaboration. Doing our project has been really enlightening for me too... in ways I wouldn't have expected. I highly recomend artistic collaboration whenever possible. How lucky you both are to have each other!!
