i was initially unsure about the interview and feature. Right now we live in a rental and i wasn't sure how "us" it was. in the past we have owned our homes and quickly made them "ours" with paint and redecorating. i LOVE to dive right into a home. I go go go like a whirlwind til it feels like us, like home. I have been known to paint an entire room and 1 week later repaint it. 2 years ago we decided to sell our home and rent awhile til we figured out exactly where we wanted to be. we found a nice rental in the area we live, but our new landlords kindly asked us not to paint. (gasp!) they had just had a bout with a difficult renter and they themselves were trying to cover up a lot of the "decorating" that person had done. sigh, no painting for me. this left me with the task of finding ways to make our new space feel like us, even if it was a toned down version of us.
so through LOTS of kid art (lucky for me i have a resident artist who happily supplies me with new works almost daily for free!!!), framed photographs and prints, many thrifted items (goodwill is my second home), mason jar upon mason jar of gathered nature treasures from our walks in our woods and beaches here, i was able to achieve our kid friendly & accessible home with touches of color throughout. thank you sheri for this opportunity to share this piece of our home life.
come on in, the door is open...

Home sweet home every girl have a dream of her own house live together with her family merrily and happily.
but not every one have a fortune to buy a house.A house is a house not necessary your own.If it is on rental
you can make it your own by love and affection.House is made up of people
not of bricks.
