catching up

hello, just taking a minute to catch up on a few things.

first i want to congratulate and thank kate who was the high bidder on my print for red cross relief fund.
kate generously bid and donated $50.00 to the American Red Cross and will be receiving her print in the mail.
thank you to ALL the bidders. giving is good.

i also need to thank all who took the time and voted on my photo in the Greeblepix contest this month. alas my photo was not chosen , but big congratulations to the winner with this touching shot of mama and baby.

this tuesday morning i go in for my surgery.
i am still very nervous and scared.
i did however spend this weekend cooking up a bunch of yummy meals for my family to eat this coming week.  i need to thank you all again for all your wonderful words of encouragement and recipe suggestions.  i wound up making a huge batch of shredded chicken bbq, spinach stuffed shells, chicken enchiladas, and a meatloaf,  all wrapped and labeled in our freezer.  i have a few things to throw in the crock pot, and hubby and i made a batch of our homemade pizza dough and sauce.  i have to let go of so much this week, and others will be doing so much for me,  so spending this weekend preparing meals has given me a small sense of peace with it all.

i return home from the hospital on wednesday and will pop in here and say hello when i can.

xoxo~kristin

Yes, will be thinking of you. Heal and be ready for better health! Try to enjoy being pampered for a change, who knows how long it will be before it happens again.

Be patient, follow the doctors orders. It is hard to let the people around you take care of you and do the things you usually do. Let them do this for you, dear. Rest and recover.
