snow day

winter arrived loudly today.
we knew it was only a matter of time.
it is a blanket of beautiful white, but the winds are rattling my windows and chapping our cheeks red. the kids just want to slide, anywhere and everywhere! any mound of snow they can find they are climbing up and sliding down. in sleds, on their bottoms, and belly flops too. we are hoping the winds die down enough tomorrow so we can take them to a proper hill. all i could think about today was OMG what if new years day looks anything like today?!?!?!? i am now wishing for no blizzard come 1-1-11 so i can take on the dip. the donations have risen even more since my last update here. this week i plan on a trip around my block, a little door to door pledge seeking, but i am almost there. i am so close to $750.00 raised! i guess bronchitis or blizzard i will be running into the water in just 5 short days. i can do this i can do this i can do this.....
