moody

i made the big mistake yesterday of looking at my archives from last spring. feeling like this spring season was just taking forever.
april 2nd last year looked like this.

april 1st THIS year looked like this...

yesterday looked like this.

foggy snowy rainy icy cold. no green. no flowers. it is making my head hurt.
my mood fits the weather and the weather fits my mood.
does your mood seep into what you photograph?
sharing my thoughts on this very subject over at shutter sisters today.

note to self: don't look at your archives. :)

I've done the same thing this week, re-challenging (and comparing how far I've come) myself by taking photos of the Picture Spring prompts from last April. When I look back at photos of my kids in shorts/t-shirts, buds wide-open on the trees, green grass and a forecast without a 60-degree day in sight it's enough to make us believe that winter will never end! (Let's hope this isn't true!) C'mon warm weather!

i have done the same thing....

my archives have made me miss spring even more {if that's possible}

last year, here at this same time....well, pretty amazing.
this year, not so much. so very similar to your photos....

and then to make matters worse, we had a horrible hail storm this past weekend and now all of us are making claims....new roofs and siding on our houses.....

Agreed... this winter/spring so far has been brutal, but there are wonderful temps coming this weekend and I think my grass is starting to sprout! :D

guess Phil the groundhog was wrong when he said we'd have an early spring! but think of it this way - when spring finally does come, it will be that much sweeter. :)

We're finally getting sunshine here in Cali. Visit for sometime you need to feel the warmth of the sun.

I KNOW! I was just going through my archives to make MOO cards and realized how much was already blooming by now last year. SUCKS.

I love the fact you are lamenting over a cold frosty winter. Here in Brisbane I am wondering if it will ever stop raining. But saying that I pulled the quilts out of storage today so winter is on it's way so maybe your spring is around the corner!
