mother's day was spent sleeping in and then treated to a fun breakfast my hubby made up and cooked. it was pancake batter in a muffin tin, layered with an egg and crisp bacon on top of that all cooked in the oven. it was quite yummy.
then the little ones gifted me their hand made gifts of coloring pages and a funny book kellen wrote in school just for me. it had an especially silly line in it,
" I like cats." (I being kellen)
"but you like sheep." LOL, too funny.
the sun was warm, we spent the whole morning/afternoon in the yard together, cooked hot dogs on the grill, and later took a drive downtown for a treat of ice cream for them / salt and vinegar pier fries for me. yum.
i hope all you mamas felt special and loved yesterday.

Yum, pier fries! Haven't had any since last summer. I'm so due!
That sounds like a good day indeed!
And looks like someone will become a good haiku writer in the future (possibly...maybe) :-)
