i still have to bake a pie, but we DID buy apples yesterday, so we are on the path... until then, casey and kellen made me a beautiful mud pie yesterday. good messy fun. this is the kind of play i LOVE to see them do. creating, getting dirty, hands on, using whatever is around them. simply the best. first they were making dams with dirt and rocks and turning the hose on to see if they worked, then the rain started. just a gentle summer rain, and that led to the mud pie. i couldn't have been happier. yes our yard has a divot where they are digging up the dirt. yes my driveway has mud and stones on it. i wouldn't have it any other way. when they were done they turned the hose on themselves. cooled off and got clean all at once.

Those are good times...good memories of how I grew up as well... you cant go wrong with mud, rain and daisy's...
That had to be fun... especially turning the hose on all of them!
