love thursday

yesterday hubby and i took ourselves to Portland for a walk. we stumbled upon the outdoor market which was full of beauty. we tried our very first five guys burger "all the way", oh yum! now we both see what all the hype is about. that burger was packed full of good stuff and big too! we bought fries but barely touched them we were so full. then we hit the record store. my mom handed down her old record player to me when she moved away. we have been having lots of fun scouring little thrift stores and goodwill racks for some new to us vinyl. i have always loved a treasure hunt of sorts. yesterday we scored some good ones. Bruce Springsteen's "Nebraska", "Born to Run", AND "Asbury Park" albums! the soundtrack to Star Wars original 1975 album in mint condition. (my kids LOVE old school star wars) when we got home and opened it up to play it, i pulled out what i thought was an insert of possible movie photos, but no it is an original movie poster also in mint condition!!! my hubby is one very happy boy. that is a total score.

we did all that, got a great walk, and made it home in plenty of time to pick up the kids who were full of their own fun stories and adventures from school. casey even had her first official boo-boo yesterday at school. gotta have those happen. she bumped her head on the playground equipment, went to the nurse and got an ice pack for her bump. so a full day for all of us it seems. she survived, said she didn't cry, and now has her very first "battle wound" story for school. all good.

happy love thursday everyone.
