the morning could not move fast enough for her. not today. we woke her up and as soon as she remembered what day it was she sprang out of her bed and into her clothes that she had already picked out the night before. within minutes she was ready to go. go now! that has always been her way, out front. confident. social. fearless. i often joked that she could have started kindergarten 2 years ago and been totally fine at age 3. they are so opposite. he reserved, shy, & quiet. she not. :)
i like to think they balance each other out. his peacefulness to her fierceness. yin and yang. he was very proud to walk her all the way to her class today. she got his old kindergarten teacher and that was all the sweeter to both of them. hand in hand they went down the hall as we watched them go. she turned and looked back only once and gave us a quick wave and a smile. for him, a big kiss as she grabbed his face and pulled it to hers.
she was on her way to big fun stuff today. she was ready.
casey we love you so. you can take on anything, there was never any doubt.
