i don't know if it is because i just finished reading the book "Wild" about one woman's solo hike of the PCT or if it is all the beauty on flickr of lakes and trees and wide open spaces, but gosh i have a bad case of wanderlust today... i want to pack up the family in a little winnebago and drive west and see all we can see and watch the sunset on different shores and dip our feet into icy cold lakes and stare at huge vast mountains and eat by candlelight and catch fireflies in mason jars and then set them free. sleep under a canopy of stars i cannot see here and be engulfed by the silence of grand spaces... next summer a long drive west needs to be on the bucket list...
