signs of autumn

apples have been collected, baked into pie & simmered into sauce. then promptly eaten. leaves are beginning their show. the woods are sprouting little magical mushrooms. the sky is often cloudy and grey. my cardigans are already getting a workout. yesterday i wore a knit hat at the bus stop in the middle of the day. and today i pulled out my down puff only to notice it is losing feathers in rapid puffs through a slice in my sleeve that somehow got there while packed away. i long for a woodstove, perhaps one day, but for now i smell the woodsmoke of other homes as i drive with my windows cracked just a bit. i finally found the chai i love at the grocery store today and bought 2 boxes. reminds me, i need to mull some cider.

hello autumn.
please linger....

I love to hear about your fall, and especially see the images of your fall. That smell! It's like the best right?
