stop! it is too fast! 4??? what? when did that happen? i merely blinked. you and time must be alike , ever moving ever changing. perhaps this explains a part of my need to take so many pictures. not to stop time, but to hold it a minute. a picture of a memory. what you looked like this day. this your 4th birthday. tall and lean, loving your new superman t-shirt, your hair is long and curly, your laugh is almost explosive. today we took a trip to the playground like many days, but today is the first day you are 4 on the playground. here you are running wildly away, laughing that huge laugh as your daddy chases you. we are all chasing you, chasing time. you are off and running. i am so very proud of who you are. i remember the day you were born so vivid in my mind. that day so full of nerves and fear and unexpected twists. i still know with all that i am that doctor susie was our hero that day. that day, and every day since, i am blessed being your momma. my heart kellen, my superman. i love you. happy birthday.
