our first week's share for 2008 CSA season. i'd say there was a theme today , pretty bright pinks, reds and greens all around. and a new one to me, KOHLRABI? any recipe suggestions for that one? anyone???
our goodies today:
radishes
head lettuce
swiss chard
kohlrabi (1 red, 1 white)
mesclun mix (spinach, arugula, tat soi, and mixed lettuce)
kids were excited but it rained most of the day and of course when we got there a HUGE thunderstorm insued. so it was a quick in and out this time round. hopefully next time we can see the horse team and take a walk in the wildflower garden as well.

Oooo, Wildroot Farm is great. We had a share from them last year and overall, were very happy with it. We opted not to do one this year for many reasons, but not because we were unhappy with Wildroot Farm. (well, we could have done with less, um, NO summer squash...) Hey, nice to meet you, btw.
