life's journey

my family lost a loved one this past weekend.
a wonderful sweet woman who will be greatly missed.
i am setting off today to be with my far away family.
can i tell you i am nervous?
i haven't flown in 10 years.
now today i fly alone.
i don't like the thought of saying goodbyes today to the kids and my hubby.
i miss them already.
but some days we must journey alone.

peace to you. see you soon.

****update:
arrived safely on the ground. phew thank goodness! i did not enjoy flying. when did i become so fearful? one very cool thing was leaving NH in thick gray rain clouds, then ascending through those clouds into the bright sun above the cloudscape. amazing! of course i had my camera and took pics to share when i return home.
thank you for all the well wishes. xo

Sorry to hear of your loss... and glad for your safe travel.

I too am a member of the "I hate to fly" club.

And as if flying is not bad enough, they throw in bad service, long lines, and take pleasure in sending your luggage to a destination other than yours.

I'm really sorry for your loss too. We just had an expected death in our family so I have a sense of what you're going through. It's always hard and I'm sorry flying makes it more difficult for you.

I bet those you love appreciate your pushing past that to get there.

Wishing you a safe return home.

Oh, just reading about flying makes me nervous. I was glad you said you were safely on the ground at the end! I won't fly. Will not. I haven't done it since about 1993. I think you are EXCELLENT for looking that fear in the eye and doing what needs to be done. xo

Hi Kristin...I'm right there with you in the fear of flying and the necessity of it all of a sudden when you can only decide one thing, to go, to leave those kiddies and that man and your whole life, because some things just rise up out of nowhere and demand to be met. Good luck with everything, and I hope you find some peace of mind in the middle of it all.
And, that is one incredibly perfect photo to go with all of this. Truly a thousand words worth.
