still

still sick that is.  can you believe it? i honestly cannot.  i thought it was a virus and that it would have run its course by now. casey started LAST saturday with the fever. then wed kellen was too sick for school. now here i sit, at almost midnight, listening to my babies coughing down the hall in their restless sleep after a full week of this.  kellen missed 3 days of school, and he will surely be home with me again tomorrow. casey seemed to be improving on thursday, but now is back to congested and coughing.  so tomorrow i will call our doctor.  i hope he can help.  or at least assure me that we are doing all we can.  i feel like we are, but i want them healthy again.  no more.  germs be gone!  anyone else suffering these terrible germs?  i am sure we are not alone.

Yes, our home is also filled nightly with a chorus of coughing. Wet, juicy, phlegmy coughs accompanied by nagging, dry coughs. And it's only October!

Our pedi's advice. This is how it is going to be with two little ones at home this winter!

We have had it here too. It turns out I have asthma and that is why it hit me so hard. It is scary stuff. I am glad you are calling the doctor. I guess they can give an anti-viral for it and I heard it helps.

Give the kids lots of liquids and mom a lot of time outs. =]

Us too. We tend to send it around in circles between the four of us, just like Maureen's comment.
I've found (if it helps...) that 'freezing' the boys rooms out once a month or so by shutting the door and opening the windows for a few hours works to keep the germs at bay, as does literally popping their stuffys in the freezer for 24 hours.

much luck from the (almost) frozen north :)

My little ones have been sick for over a week. Finally the fevers are gone, just little coughs and runny noses. Now I'm sick and it feels like something new. I pray that I don't give it to them. I hope you and your family get well soon!
