here in maine?
in winter?
well they go in the ocean!
may i present The Lobster Dip 2010, old orchard beach maine, high noon. let me tell you i went curious. i assumed a few crazy people would be there. i was SO wrong. it was a huge crowd. many of who were actually preparing to take the dip! kids, parents, dogs, men, & women of all ages. i was impressed, awed, and inspired. so much so it is going on my list next year. why not? i have to do it at least once. to say i did. to be a little crazy and bold. impulsive. wild. so my kids can tell that story of the winter mom lost her marbles and dove in the cold ocean.
take a look for yourself. doesn't it look like crazy good fun? a little heavy on the crazy. :)
lobster dippers out there, YOU ROCKED!!!!

My daughter participated in the dip this year. It was such an incredible experience just being there, though. Such energy! ;).

Looks like a rollicking good time! Hope you had a thermos of something warm with you. Great shots.
These are so wonderful Kristin. Do you mind me asking what lens you used to get the wide shots so clearly? Thanks :)
I was at that Lobster Dip. Those people are wonderfully crazy!!! That event raised $71,000.00 for the Special Olympics. WAY TO GO!
