sail away

i hit a rough patch in my recovery.
i was feeling pretty low.
music has a was of touching the parts of me that make me forget.
i really love music,  all kinds.
yesterday on the way home from an unexpected trip to the doctor i heard david gray's sail away.
i love his voice.  a twinge of accent even when he sings.  i like that.  oh and his words, so good.
so today i thought i'd make a mini playlist if you will, maybe you need a song or 2 today to help you forget and sail away.

I'm sorry to hear that your recovery has hit a rough patch. That stinks. But, I am glad to hear that you found some solace in the day. Please know that your "imaginary" internet friends are thinking about you and keeping their fingers crossed for smooth sailing here on out in your recovery. If I was in the east Portland rather than the west Portland I would be over with something sweet and comforting in a jiffy.

I hope everything is okay. recovery is hard work. give yourself time and finding the music to get you thru it is a great idea.
I have loved David G. since the minute I heard his voice.

I agree with Vanessa, recovery is hard work...take time, mother's never seem to be able to take time, but if you do....it will pay off for you....smiles.

I hope you are feeling better now. DG - oh my. He is magic. Fell in love with his music the first time I heard him all those years ago. Have seen him a few times - he is my all time fav musician. Swoon! I have his new album on now up loud, my daughter is dancing around telling me she loves David Gray (that makes 2 of us!), and am wishing you a day full of sunshine. To add to your play list -Babylon. It always soothes my soul.
