Snowball
-by Shel Silverstein
I made myself a snow ball as perfect as could be.
I thought I'd keep it as a pet and let it sleep with me.
I made it some pajamas and a pillow for it's head.
Then, last night it ran away. But first -- it wet the bed.

kids know how to appreciate winter. yesterday was another snow day. school was closed. it blew like a blizzard all morning and into the afternoon. it was pure fluff. they sledded and wrestled and threw snow. drank cocoa, LOTS of it. they were wet and rosy. they laughed and played and then later slept that good sleep that only pure exhaustion brings. it is very good for my soul to see how they love winter. i have even been taking a few rides on the sled this year too. it is a little sad that we grow up and forget those simple joys. thank goodness for the reminders.

I'm secretly jealous of your snowy life... as our palm trees blow in the chilly air down in Florida... I wish for a little snow to play in... :-)
I love the snow. My two-year-old doesn't really like it yet, but I hope we'll be able to play in it together someday. :)
Your photo is lovely, as well as your children. Sounds like a fun day!
Oh....enjoy it now....they grow so very fast....smiles.
