today is one of those great rainy lazy days. it is a welcome respite from the hustle that was our weekend. it was gorgeous and we packed it FULL! so today i welcome the coolness and rest that the rain allows. my little ones have been playing, making bead necklaces and lazing about too. i did some dishes (we wash all by hand now) and then i started some laundry, took a late shower, then played with the light in our new home. in our old home i knew just the places to take good self portraits, now i am discovering the light in this space. playing, wandering, clicking. i am feeling so much more at ease after those busy weeks of moving and cleaning and end of school life. nesting and settling in feels so good.

It rained a little bit this morning - so nice to wake up to the sound of rain falling. But the beauty has been the nice crisp breeze ever since.
