it was a long hard few days.
we have moved many times.
but this was the first time in 5 years, and the first time in my 40's and i am SO not the young stronger inexhaustible girl of my 20's or 30's even.... this move took its toll. it is nearly done. this week is cleaning out the old, finishing up the school year, and creative organizing in our smaller new digs. i love that we are on the 3rd floor. the light and breezes that flow through this home are amazing and once we all get a chance to really settle in here i already feel it is going to be filled with so much goodness. this weekend we were tired, and a bit grumpy, and maybe a little dehydrated even... sunday started rough, we were all weary and sore, i had to get a big grocery order, he had to unbox more stuff than we knew what to do with. i wasn't feeling well at all. i laid down for what i thought would be a few minutes and in no time that turned into a 2 hour nap. you know the kind, the drooling on your pillow kind. obviously my body was sending me a not so subtle message. when i woke we cooked our first dinner in our new home. that felt nice. and then we ended up here, in the grass, in the late day sun that was amazing...and i felt better.

The last two sentences bring it all together, huh?! That tired to the bone feeling, not so much.

moves are hard. we've had many. like 13 in almost 28 years.

but now at 47 and having been here 6 years, another move will be hard. physically for sure. but we all do what we have to do.

my advice. take your time. a new move does not require us to be a superhero, even though we feel like we should be. but we also know that momma has to be happy {well rested and well fed} or nobody's happy.

congrats on your move....we've always had good ones and i know this one will be a good one for you....i just know it :)
