All month long Shutter Sisters has been elevating the everyday with a daily prompt. A simple theme each day, centered around everyday life. morning, work, play, light, bed, routines... Today is "something orange", tomorrow's prompt is "let's eat", you get the idea. Simple fun ways of honoring your everyday through your lens.
This all ties in to the release of Tracey Clark's beautiful new book,

Tracey asked me to contribute a personal story of my own journey of motherhood/womanhood to her book. I am so honored to be a small part of an amazing collaboration of women, writers, artists, photographers, and mothers. It is a wonderful book of full of rich stories and gorgeous images honoring the extra in the ordinary.
In celebration of the release of this new book, I am so excited to gift one copy to a reader. HOORAY!!!!

I have been looking at getting this book ever since I saw it pop up on the Shutter Sisters site. So it's going to be mine, whether I'm lucky enough to win this or not. : ) It looks amazing. I have made some wonderful connections through Flickr & Shutter Sisters and am just a little sad I didn't meet you all years ago when my 2 were smaller. I look at the photos of your littlies and wish I got shots like that back then. Although I am loving what I can do now, because of being inspired by work I see everday with my groups and contact on Flickr. Glad to know everybody and am learning something new every day.
