My first reaction was to giggle - but then I remembered the smell and just how hard it is to get rid off.
When I lived in upstate NY, my old dog Rosie used to love chasing the local skunk and come right over to us afterwards for a pat - like she was proud of herself. Yuck. Luckily no skunks here in London.

I'm sure the smell of sweet pie baking will make up for it.
Welcome home!

Skunked is no good--We live near a state park and it seems to be skunky here about once a week...if not more!

i know the pain of skunking, i was once hit from crown of head to low back. i knew tim was the one when he walked me home from our illegal golf course fishing despite my awful smell. tomato paste? it helps a little.

For those who want to know, the best way to get rid of skunk smell is:
1) bottle of hydrogen peroxide
2) baking soda
3) shampoo or dishwashing liquid.
4) Water
5) gallon of water

Combine all in a gallon container. Apply using a sponge or wash clothe. For the face, daube with a sponge. Let it sit for a few minutes and rinse.

The hydrogen peroxide and baking soda release the oil of the stank and the soap carries it away. Works like a charm. Been there, done that a time or two or 12.

Shoots, I should have read that first before I posted it. Water, yes, gallon container or pitcher not gallon of water. Sorry.
