silent night....

Untitled by kristin~mainemomma

last sunday night after we put up our tree, kellen asked to sleep by it. monday was a school day so i said "yes" to his wish but that it would need to wait a few days for the next weekend. friday arrived, we had our potluck party at school, returned home, and they both reminded me of the plan. we blew up the air mattress, brought out pillows and blankets, 'purple' and 'puppy',and watched the polar express by the light of the tree. after the movie i found them like this. all snug and out for the night.

just the other day i read this quote thanks to my friend sarah,

"forever is composed of nows." ~ emily dickinson

this is a now i want to remember forever.

i so loved seing these photos, kristin, such sweet childhood magic. you are one terrific mama :0

we might do this too, first to clear a path through and around the legos, k'nex, kapla blocks...;-)(or maybe organizing would be better!)

pardon the late night typos, that should say "seeing" and a smile should be at the end of that sentence :)

This is definitely one of my special memories of Christmas 2011. I was sharing this story with Mark last night. It's just so sweet!
